Ordonnance due Roi
$45.00
French Infantry exercises as presented in engraved plates and text from the King’s Ordonnance of 1766.
Last year we offered the plates as a separate offering, and after a year we have successfully been able to digitally clean the text as well and offer the complete package to those interested in the French Manual of Arms.
The work contains 36 pages of plates showing the various positions of the soldier under arms according to the French regulations of 1766 as well as various positions of loading the fusil, triple rank firing, etc. It contains 36 figures along with 2 large folding plates. Each plate has a page reference where the text of how to perform the movement can be located. The work is bound in quarter leather and marbled paper over boards. The spine has gilt devices at the head and the tail. The title label is pasted down on the front board. It is offered in a large format presentation.
