The Regulations for the Exercise of Riflemen and Light Infantry, London, 1799
$18.00
This work, written by a Prussian officer in the service of Great Britain, was authorized for adoption by the British Army as its official Regulation for the use of Light Troops. It was the only complete Regulation authorized by the Crown and was plagiarized by Cooper and Barber. It is an extremely rare work, despite its wide use with only a handful of originals still extant. The work contains plates displaying the movement of troops and formations as well as bugle calls. A must work for anyone interested in Light Infantry and its organization. Bound in a marbled wrap. Marbled wraps are what we have in house and may not match the image seen here.
