The Art of Shooting Flying
$10.00
Pteraplygia is one of the oldest publications (1767) on using fowlers (shotguns) to shoot aerial targets. Hunting in this manner had been going on previous to this publication among noblemen, especially in France, but this is the first published material on shotgun hunting. It is based on the concept that a gentleman will shoot fowl from the air, and not on the ground chased forward by beaters. This work is the third edition and contains a nice frontispiece showing a hunter bringing down a fowl. Presented in a printed wrap, side stitched as per the original work.
