We include this interesting document for the historians among you. American History texts would have students believe that the passing of the Quartering Act in 1765 was something unusual. The fact is, however, that like the Mutiny Act, the Quartering Act was passed each year by Parliament and approved by the Colonial legislatures. The act reproduced here is in large format, suitable for posting or framing and is the Act passed by the Massachusetts Assembly in1757. The act displays a large royal arms at the top and is printed on both sides. The document is printed on hand made, laid paper from France, and is printed on both sides. Watermark does not appear on purchased documents.
