This CD contains both volumes of Worthington Ford’s works on British officers serving in America during both the French and Indian War and the American Revolution. Original copies of these works are extremely difficult to find as they were both printed in small runs of less than 200 copies. Compilation of these works made use of the complete set of the Army Lists that Ford found at the Astor Library. Researchers can fully understand the often times difficult process of tracking down an Army List for a particular year. They are also scarce and at times, hard to find. Despite the fact that these lists were published annually, many have all but disappeared, except in a few cases when they happen to turn up. Complete sets are almost impossible to find at an affordable price. With this in mind, Ford’s works provide an invaluable resource for students and researchers. CD cased.
