Who We Are

Since 1987, the Kings Arms Press has been providing historical sites, museums, movie sets and living history historians with a unique line of rare antiquarian reprints of books, and paper related items dealing with the period of the 18th century.

Our reprints of books, pamphlets, and engravings are sourced from our own collection, as well as from private collectors and museums who have generously made their works available to us.

In addition to books and pamphlets, we also offer reprints of forms, furloughs, commissions, enlistments, discharges, as well maps and prints. Many of these forms have been taken from military treatises of the period, and historical collections.

Unlike other reprints, all of our books and pamphlets are sewn, trimmed and bound by hand in an 18th century style. All books, and pamphlets can be had bound in full leather. Pamphlets are bound either in printed, or marbled wraps, copying their original format. This offers the re-enactor, and student of the period a unique opportunity to acquire period works resembling the originals in all but age.

We utilize materials that as close as possible, feel and look like the original. The paper used is laid in format, and for some items, hand mould made. Our marbled paper is hand dipped and marbled in the original manner, not lithographed as many modern papers are. These papers are sourced from Iris Nevins, a traditional marbling artist, who has her work on permanent exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. These papers copy 17th and 18th century patterns.

Customer satisfaction is our priority! Notify us within 7 days of receiving, and we will offer a full refund without reservation!
