This work was printed by Bell in Philadelphia in 1776 and is an extract from a larger work. Perhaps it was printed to meet the need of the anticipated war with the mother country. In any event, it treats rather extensively with gunshot wounds and their treatments, as well as being a great source of information regarding naval medicine and hygiene. Written by Ranby who was the equivalent of the Surgeon General to the British Army. This is a must have work for anyone interested in 18th century military medicine.
